According to Broward authorities, a 3-year-old toddler was shot and murdered in a Tamarac hotel on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Extended Stay America Motel in the 3000 block of West Commercial Boulevard in the Fort Lauderdale neighborhood.
Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to a gunshot complaint at 8:20 a.m. According to BSO spokesperson Claudinne Caro, they discovered the infant with a gunshot wound at the hotel, accompanied by a lady.
According to paramedics, the youngster died at the hotel. Deputies have not published the young victim’s name or any information about their connection.
