According to the police, an individual who has not been recognized affixed a neo-Nazi propaganda sticker to the fence that surrounded the property. Surveillance cameras took footage of the man and his vehicle as they passed in front of the cameras.
After Rockhill was recognized as the person responsible for the crime and put into jail by the authorities, a search warrant was executed on both his vehicle and his apartment. The investigation led to the discovery of evidence that connected Rockhill to the criminal activity.
