Bio & Wiki
He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 21, 1960, as the first of two sons to Lionel Herbert Dahmer and Joyce Annette Dahmer. He was neglected as a newborn but was usually adored by his parents. His mother was renowned for being uptight, eager for attention and sympathy, and abrasive with her husband and neighbors. Dahmer was considered shy throughout elementary school. In 1966, the family relocated to Doylestown, Ohio, and Dahmer was allowed to name his new baby brother David.
He received his degree and began working as an analytical chemist. Dahmer became obsessed with dead animals after seeing his father collecting animal bones from under the family house. Dahmer started collecting giant insects and small animal bones when the family relocated to Bath Township, Summit County, Ohio, in 1968. Dahmer asked his father two years later how to bleach and preserve animal bones securely. He also started gathering dead animals, including roadkill, which he dissected and buried next to the cabin.
Dahmer dismembered a dog’s corpse in 1975 before fastening the body to a tree and impaling the skull with a stick. Joyce started taking more Equanil, laxatives, and sleeping medications regularly, reducing her physical contact with her husband and children.

Personal Life & Imprisonment
Dahmer was transported to the Columbia Correctional Institution and spent the first year in solitary confinement. After a year, he was given a two-hour daily labor assignment cleaning the prison’s toilet block and gymnasium. After acquiring a Bible copy, he became a born-again Christian and began reading creationist materials. In May 1994, he was baptized by Roy Ratcliff, an Oklahoma Christian University graduate and preacher in the Church of Christ, and he routinely pondered the issue of death. Dahmer had questioned if his continued existence was a transgression against God.
Osvaldo Durruthy tried to slice Dahmer’s neck with a razor buried in a toothbrush but only got minor injuries. His family kept in touch with him daily, and he answered Joyce’s worries with statements like “I don’t care if something happens to me.”

Death
Jeffrey Dahmer and Jesse Anderson were left unattended in the prison gym for 20 minutes on November 28, 1994. Dahmer was discovered with severe head wounds around 8:10 a.m., and Anderson had been battered with the same object. Scarver, serving a life sentence for murder in 1990, told officials that he had first hit Dahmer with the metal rod while Dahmer was cleaning a staff locker room. Scarver admitted that he had hidden the 20-inch iron rod used to kill both victims in his clothes just before the murders. The relatives of Dahmer’s victims had varied feelings over his demise.
Scarver received a life sentence for the killings, while Dahmer was cremated in September 1995. His brain was first kept but was later burned in December 1995.
