According to Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami, a recall of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office is almost certain.
LOS ANGELES,— The removal of Los Angeles County Prosecutor Jackie Lacey from office is expected to be a nail-biter, according to a senior figure in the campaign to have her removed from office.
The recall of Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon, according to Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami, “I believe we will be able to secure the necessary signatures to place the recall on the ballot in November.” There will, however, be a picture-perfect conclusion.
His prediction: “It’s going to be a close race.” For the movement to be successful, it must remain united until the very end, which is something I and we all want to see accomplished.

This is the second time that Gascon has been the focus of a recall attempt since he took office in December 2020. In the year 2021, there was a petition drive that failed to garner enough signatures by the filing deadline to be considered for election.
