An individual who was armed with a hatchet is said to have attacked a police officer while the officer was working a traffic stop in Naperville, as reported by that city’s police department.
During a traffic check in the city of Naperville, Illinois, located in the suburbs of Chicago, a police officer in the region shot and killed a guy who was holding a hatchet. The officer then fired his gun. The officer’s horrible acts were caught on video from the body camera that he was wearing.
On Friday about 11:15 a.m., a police officer in the city of Naperville stopped a vehicle for a traffic stop near the junction of Bond Street and McDowell Road. During the stop, the officer saw that another vehicle had come up next to the one he had initially pulled over.
The police say that as soon as the man stepped out of the truck, he lunged at an officer while brandishing a hatchet in his hand. This is according to the police. The police officer was wearing a body camera, which captured footage of a man clad in all black who appeared to be coming toward him while brandishing two weapons in his right hand.
