Oshawa Logan, age 18, was taken into custody by the New York City police department and charged with the aggravated robbery of a civilian NYPD officer.
On Friday, the New York City police department made an arrest and filed charges in connection with the violent robbery that occurred on Tuesday against an off-duty police officer. The suspect is 18 years old.
Following the violent mugging of a 48-year-old off-duty NYPD officer who was identified by FOX 5 New York as Muhammed Chowdhury, the authorities arrested Oshawn Logan and charged him with four counts of robbery, two counts of gang violence, two counts of assault, and grand theft. All of these charges stem from the same incident.
As a response to the arrest that took place on Saturday, the New York City Police Benevolent Association (PBA) tweeted, “NYC police officers and our brothers and sisters at @NYCPDDEA are doing our job.” We are not going to let up on this gang until every one of them is locked up in jail. It is now up to the office of the Bronx district attorney and the justice system to play their part in the investigation. This crook should NOT be allowed to rejoin society in any capacity. “
