In the early morning hours of Sunday, Cayce Public Safety Officer Roy Andrew “Drew” Barr was gunned down and killed while responding to a domestic violence complaint in the community. According to the police department, the woman had called dispatch to report that a man had threatened her and her child with a gun and that she had fled.
