After allegedly attempting to light a member of staff at a grocery shop on fire, a homeless man from Southern California was brought into custody and placed under arrest.
According to the authorities, Raul Bautista, 31, made an effort to leave a store with his cart full of products without paying for it. When challenged, Bautista allegedly reacted aggressively, according to one of his employees.
The incident was reported to the police by the store clerk, who stated that Bautista doused him in lighter fluid and attempted to set him ablaze before running away from the scene.
