The individual is currently in a serious condition at a hospital in Chicago.

A homeless man in Chicago on Wednesday was reportedly set on fire by a 24-year-old male, who was later charged with attempted murder for his actions.

It was early on Wednesday morning when Joseph Guardia, 27, is believed to have doused him with combustible chemicals and then set him on fire. The victim was reportedly napping near Trump Tower at the time.

The arrest of Guardia resulted in the filing of accusations against him for first-degree murder as well as aggravated arson with bodily harm.

Joseph Kromelis, a homeless man who is known as “The Walking Man,” is said to have been wandering the streets of Chicago for a significant amount of time, according to the article.
