A sand tunnel collapsed in Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Utah, burying an 18-year-old.

The sand had to be dug out from under the child, who was 13 years old and buried more than 6 and a half feet deep.

Sand with a Coral-Pink Hue According to reports from The News God, officials from Dunes State Park have stated that a Utah child, age 13, passed away over the weekend after what they believe to have been an underground tunnel he was constructing collapsed while he was inside of it.

According to the Utah Division of State Parks, Ian Spendlove, of Santa Clara, California, was there at the time of the incident with his family when it took place just after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday outside of the camping area.
