According to North Carolina House Speaker Tim Moore, Republican State Rep. Erin Paré stated after being told of the cards by a constituent. Paré is a member of the House of Representatives. According to the statement that Paré issued, “Schools should only be using age-appropriate materials, and it is very evident that these flashcards do not satisfy that requirement for a pre-school classroom.”
