On Thursday, a person was killed as a result of a traffic check that took place in the state of Michigan.
The state police in Allegan County, Michigan, have reported that a sheriff’s deputy in that county fatally shot a driver after getting into a “physical fight” with the driver during a traffic stop. The shot was instantaneous and caused the victim’s death.
Thursday evening about 10 o’clock, the deputy and the man got into an argument as the deputy was conducting a traffic check in Salem Township, which is located to the northwest of Wayland. The deputy who was responsible for the shooting death of at least one motorist has been identified by the Michigan State Police.
Joseph Maverick Nagle, a guy in his twenties from Comstock Park, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
