Trump has requested that the records about his motion be reviewed by a Special Master.
In reaction to the “extraordinary” and “unnecessary” search that the FBI conducted on Mar-a-Lago earlier this month, former President Trump has filed a motion in which he requests an independent evaluation of the material that was gathered.
They asked for an order appointing a special master to review the records obtained during the search; blocking the further review of seized materials by the government until a special master is appointed; requiring the Justice Department to provide a more detailed receipt for the property, and requiring the government to return any item seized that warrants it.
After the “unnecessary, unjustified, and unAmerican Break-In” of his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday night, Former President Trump claimed that the move is a “strong assertion” of his rights “including under the Fourth Amendment of our Constitution.” This was in response to the fact that “dozens” of FBI agents and other individuals had broken into his estate.
