An alarming message was allegedly made by Ramos to a female friend via social media in the moments leading up to the incident.
After reaching the age of 18, he bought two firearms and used one of them in the massacre that took place at a school in southwest Texas on Tuesday, which resulted in the deaths of 19 students and two teachers.
On Wednesday, Texas Senator John Whitmire provided a briefing in which he stated that 18-year-old Salvador Ramos had legally acquired AR platform firearms on May 17 and May 20, 2022, respectively. One of the firearms was discovered in Ramos’ vehicle outside of the school, and the other was found with his body inside the establishment. Ramos was the only known suspect in the shooting. According to authorities, Ramos was 17 years old when he turned 18 for the first time.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, Whitmire and Roland Gutierrez, a state senator in Texas, both said that Ramos bought 375 rounds of 5.56 ammunition.
According to The News God, reports stated that one of the firearms is a Daniel Defense model that has a suggested retail price of fewer than 2,000 dollars.
