An Afghan rebel leader advised President Biden not to repeat the folly of the Clinton administration by neglecting the threat of terrorism, which contributed to the events of September 11.

According to the National Opposition Front (NRF), Afghanistan’s leading resistance organization, the Biden administration should not disregard terror concerns emanating from that region. This was an oversight made by the Clinton administration before the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the group said.

Ali Maisam Nazary, the NFR’s director of external relations, told reporters that now is the moment for action.

“We hope that the Biden administration will not make the same mistake as the Clinton administration, which neglected the threat of terrorism in the mid and late 1990s and led to 9/11. Allowing democratic and anti-terrorist forces like the NRF to liberate Afghanistan is a crucial step in the White House’s counterterrorism strategy “he stated.
