According to the organization, five of the six participants who were supposed to be participating in the Special Olympics USA Games but ended up not showing up were not impaired.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of some members of Haiti’s Special Olympics delegation on Monday, after they had booked into a hotel room in Osceola County, Florida, is being conducted by law authorities in the state of Florida.
Six members of the Haitian Special Olympics soccer team were reported missing at approximately 2:30 p.m. when they were at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was able to determine the identities of the players who went missing. Osceola County’s administrative headquarters are located in Orlando, which is located to the south of Florida’s capital city.

WFTV in Orlando was able to identify the following individuals: Atione Joseph Mithon, age 32; Nicholson Fontilus, age 20; Peter Mianovich Berlus, age 19; Anderson Petit-Frere, age 18; Steevenson Jacquet, age 24; and Oriol Jean, age 18.
On Monday, at some point, Special Olympics USA published a statement in which they indicated that five of the six individuals who went missing were neither athletes nor disabled. This information was included in the statement. The research states that the sixth child is the one who suffers from intellectual problems.
