Five individuals were discovered dead in a La Plata, Maryland, residence on Friday after police were called to a shooting incident.
Officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and the La Plata Police Department responded on Friday just before 4 p.m., according to a press release. The homeowner was at the front door when the police arrived; he told them he had just come home from work and found the bodies. The house owner was a relative of the hurt people.
According to a preliminary investigation, the suspect, Andre Sales, 28, entered the home and killed his ex-girlfriend Sara Mann, 21, before leaving the scene. Kai Mann, 18, their mother Sommaly Mann, 48, and another man inside, Javon Watson, 23, of White Plains, was also killed, according to the police.
According to the police, Sales shot and killed himself after the killings. The gun was found by investigators on the scene.
