A Texas woman who killed a pregnant woman and removed the child from her womb was found guilty of capital murder on Monday.
At the victim’s residence in New Boston in October 2020, Taylor Rene Parker, 29, was found guilty of murdering Reagan Micelle Simmons-Hancock, 21.
After roughly an hour of deliberation, a Bowie County jury found Parker guilty of the murder and the kidnapping of the newborn girl who was aborted but later died.
In order to reduce the capital murder accusation to murder, the defense team contended that the infant was never alive and asked that the kidnapping allegation be dropped.
