Ray Stevenson, who played essential roles in TV shows like Rome, Vikings, and Dexter, died at 58.
He was known for his parts in the Thor movies, the Divergent series, and UK TV shows like Band of Gold, Peak Practice, and Murphy’s Law.
His publicist company in the US, Viewpoint, told the BBC that he had died, but they did not give any more information.
No one knows what caused his death, but he was taken to the hospital while shooting on the Italian island of Ischia.
At the time of his death, he was making a movie called Cassino in Ischia, which was an action movie.
It was said that he had died four days before he turned 59.

Stevenson was born in Northern Ireland, but his family moved to England when he was eight.
When he was born in 1964, his father was stationed with the Royal Air Force (RAF) near Lisburn, County Antrim.
His family moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and he lived there for most of his youth.
When Stevenson saw John Malkovich in a play at a West End theater in London, he was moved to become an actor.
He went to Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to learn how to act, and one of his first TV parts was in The Dwelling Place, a drama by Catherine Cookson.
Later, he was in many British TV shows, such as Waking the Dead, Dalziel and Pascoe, and At Home with the Braithwaites.
In the big-budget Hollywood movie King Arthur, which stars Keira Knightley, he played a knight in 2004.
Stevenson has been in popular TV shows and movies made in the US in recent years. He played Volstagg in the Thor trilogy and Titus Pullo in HBO’s historical drama series Rome.
In the new Disney+ show Star Wars: Ashoka, he will play Baylan Skoll.
On social media, Stevenson’s co-stars have posted tributes to the late actor.
Stevenson was a “brilliant, gutsy, larger-than-life actor who filled every role he played to the brim,” said English actor James Purefoy, who worked with Stevenson in Rome.
