According to court documents, a Texas adolescent accused of murdering his parents and two siblings thought they would “eat him.”
Cesar Olalde, 18, is being held on capital murder charges in the shooting deaths of his mother, father, sister, and brother, according to FOX Austin.
Officers in Nash, Texas, responded to a report of three persons deceased and another locked inside a home on May 23. Officers came and discovered all four family members deceased.
They were recognized as Reuben Olalde and Aida Garcia, as well as Lisbet Olalde, their older sister, and Oliver Olalde, their 5-year-old brother.
According to an affidavit published by the New York Post, “it appeared as if the victims had been shot at various locations throughout the residence and [had been dragged] to the bathroom.” Throughout the house, there were numerous spent bullet casings and “blood spatter on multiple surfaces.”
Lisbet Olalde’s colleague, Joseph Flieder, was trying to check on her before authorities arrived after she missed work that day.
According to the news report, Olalde threatened the witness with a gun before they were able to flee. According to the witness, Olalde allegedly informed investigators that he killed his family because they were cannibals and “were going to eat him.”
Olalde allegedly admitted to the shootings during the standoff. He is being held on a bail of $10 million.
