Authorities said the accomplice was behind the wheel of a Bentley Bentayga during the vicious Porsche heist. Authorities said that a Canadian woman was arrested after she was caught on a doorbell camera disguising her interest in a Porsche, stealing it, and running over the owner in his driveway as she made off.
According to Peel Regional Police, 18-year-old Sarah Bradshaw was arrested on numerous counts that include no driver’s license, theft of a motor vehicle, failure to stop after accident bodily harm and dangerous operation causing bodily harm. She turned herself in Thursday while police were still searching for a suspect in the incident.
On September 6, at approximately 2:00 p.m., an incident occurred in the Mississauga area at Winston Churchill and Eglinton Avenue.
Police say that, according to a camera, the woman rang the victim’s doorbell and showed interest in buying the 2022 Porsche Cayenne he had listed on Autotrader. Police said Bradshaw backed out quickly and drove away from the victim’s driveway; as she was inside the car looking at the insides, she struck the victim while going and made off with the stolen automobile.
Video evidence introduced at trial showed the victim getting out of the passenger-side door, walking around the front of the car, and reaching for the driver’s side handle, which was apparently locked.
The car jerked slightly, it appears, as the victim was trying to get into the locked automobile, then moved to the rear of it. The perpetrator came flying out of the driveway and brutally dragged the victim into the roadway.
He suffered bruises on his elbow, wrists and legs, for which he sought medical attention, he told CTV News Toronto.
Police said that a suspect serving as an accomplice waited across the street from the victim’s residence in a grey Bentley Bentayga.
According to the police, Badshaw is wanted after accusations over past fraud-related charges in Peel.
