Senegalese international Sadio Mane has revealed that He saw himself right at Bayern Munich when his agent informed him about Bayern’s interest.
Sadio Mane had his medicals on Tuesday following his £35.1 move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich made the signing of Sadio Mane their top priority this summer after talisman Robert Lewandowski had made it clear to Germany champions that he wants to leave this summer in a search of a new challenge.
Mane was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing for Liverpool when he took charge of the Merseyside club. Liverpool signed £35 million from Southampton in 2016. The 30-year-old attacker has enjoyed a successful six years spell at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.
Sadio Mane scored 120 goals in 269 appearances for Liverpool including 23 goals in 51 appearances in his last season for Liverpool.

The former Liverpool international broke his silence on the Bayern Munich transfer via BILD: “When my agent first told me about Bayern’s interest, I was immediately excited.
“I saw myself there right away. “It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world and the team is always fighting for every title. So for me, it was a very good idea and the right decision to come here.
“My agent told me that there were inquiries from other clubs. That’s part of the business. But I got the feeling right away when Bayern presented their plan to me. I found myself in Bayern’s plan more than anyone else.”
The Senegalese national team captain lost two Champions League finals with Liverpool, with the latest one coming last season against Real Madrid at the Stade De France in Paris.
When quizzed if he wants to be a European Champion again after his 2019 success with Liverpool, Sadio Mane said: “I don’t want to say no. Every kid wants to win the Champions League, every football player in the world. I’m with a very, very competitive team now.
“But it’s still a bit early to talk about the Champions League final, we haven’t even played a game together yet. Nevertheless, we will give everything to get into the final.”
Sadio Mane won The Champions League, The Premier League, the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, and the Carabao Cup during his six years stay at Anfield.
