McDaniel praised Cawthorn for his decision to step down and highlighted how crucial it was for Republicans to keep the seat they now hold.

Ronna McDaniel, the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, responded to a recent outburst made by Representative Madison Cawthorn, a Republican from North Carolina. Cawthorn’s outburst came after the congressman lost the Republican primary for his seat to State Senator Chuck Edwards last week.

Cawthorn claimed that Republicans should stop engaging in “genteel politics,” and that, as he has previously asserted, “Dark MAGA should take over.”
