While he is in Turkey for the summit, Putin is expected to meet with both Erdogan and Raisi.

Following concerns made by the United States that Iran may supply Russia with drones for its battle against Ukraine, authorities from the Kremlin have stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin would fly to Tehran on Tuesday to meet with Iranian and Turkish officials.

According to the spokesperson for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin is scheduled to take part in a trilateral meeting with the presidents of Iran and Turkey, which will follow the format of past conversations on Syria.

During his time in Tehran, Vladimir Putin will also meet with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of Turkey.

According to a statement released by the office of President Joe Biden, Russian officials traveled to Iran’s Kashan Airfield on June 8 and July 15.
