During the past few months, Los Angeles has seen an increase in brazen crimes, the majority of which are carried out at gunpoint, which has led to an increase in armed robberies that target homes.

Two people were arrested on Friday in connection with an attempted follow-home robbery that targeted four tourists in Los Angeles. According to investigators, one of the suspects accidentally shot another while they were reportedly unloading the stolen property from a vehicle. Both suspects were taken into custody on Friday.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Artiz Alvarez and Chanz Lee Yarbrough, both of whom are residents of Los Angeles, have been detained for a variety of crimes as a direct result of the house invasion that occurred on April 20.
