Cleaning up the wreckage after the collision between a Montgomery County Transit Ride-On bus and a tractor-trailer on I-270 in Gaithersburg, Maryland, took most of Monday night.
A Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service representative tweeted images from the incident, which at one point had all highway lanes shut just before the I-370 exit.
Multicolored paper products were in the delivery vehicle when they crashed and poured into the road along with gasoline.
About what caused the crash, no information has been made public.
At the time of the collision, which happened at 9:30 p.m., the Ride On the bus was empty. Due to a different medical condition, its driver was transported to a hospital.
