The owner of ‘The Conjuring’ movie’s home, Jacqueline Nunez, was arrested on bodycam footage. Rhode Island police have made public bodycam footage of the alleged DUI arrest of the owner of the house featured in the horror film “The Conjuring.”
Burrillville Police observed a white Lexus driving carelessly on Monday, shortly after 9 p.m.
The car’s driver, named by authorities as Jacqueline Nunez, was shown on camera guiding cops around several of the town’s streets before eventually stopping.
“Driver, show us your hands!” are yelled by officers.
Nunez was repeatedly asked to switch off the automobile by the police as they approached her vehicle.
Officers detected an overpowering alcohol stench on Nunez’s breath, according to the police report that WJAR was able to obtain.
Nunez was also described as having “bloodshot and glassy eyes.”
Nunez remarked, “You’re boring me, ok, I’m following your finger,” as the sobriety test began.
“We must pass this test… The cop replies, “I know I’m ‘boring you,’ but,” but Nunez cuts him off.
“And I know I’m passing with flying colors, so continue your test,” Nunez tells the officer, gesturing with her finger.
The officer then instructs her to remain and keep her head still.
With a roll of her eyes, Nunez mutters,”whatever.”
After claiming to have had only “a couple drinks,” Nunez tells the officers, “I had a couple drinks and I live in the conjuring house.” Nunez then asks the officers if they typically handcuff people who have had a few Manhattans.
“Why are there multiple officers pulling up behind me because I had a couple of drinks?”
Nunez asks. The officers also observed that Nunez was wearing her “conjuring house” sweatshirt and that she laughed repeatedly throughout the field sobriety tests.
Along with other traffic infractions, Nunez received a citation for DUI and dangerous driving.
