More than 500,000 fentanyl pills were seized by Arizona Customs and Border Protection (CBP) authorities in a single port of entry in a single weekend, as the United States attempts to combat an ongoing opioid crisis.
CBP in Nogales, Arizona, stated on Saturday that it intercepted three cargoes of fentanyl, including 114,800 tablets hidden in a dashboard and 297,000 pills hidden in a car crossing the border.

Agents halted two additional cargoes on Sunday, including 134,200 tablets discovered in the rocker panels of a vehicle.
During the hectic weekend for officers, agents confiscated roughly half a million fentanyl pills, 60 pounds of meth, and 10 pounds of cocaine.
