According to the authorities, seven individuals were taken to jail for the offense of trespassing.
Molotov cocktails were thrown at a construction site that is being used to build a new training center for the Atlanta Police Agency, according to videos that were published by the department on Wednesday.
The device went through the chain-link fence and started a fire a few yards away, which was being watched by three police officers. The fire is put out by a fire truck that comes a few minutes later and saves the structure from being destroyed. On the adjoining Key Road, an incendiary device crashes to the ground, but it does not spark a fire.
During the event, there were no reported injuries, but seven persons were taken into custody, as stated in a news release issued by the police. It has not been determined if any of the arrests were related to the Molotov cocktails.
The police department claims that they were also attacked with rocks while they were on the scene.
