Ashley Parmeley, 36, allegedly admitted to police that she had shot her daughter, 9, and drowned her son, 2.
Authorities reported that a mother from Missouri entered a police station on Tuesday morning and confessed to killing her two small children.
Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak told reporters at a press conference that Ashley Parmeley, 36, told authorities she shot her 9-year-old daughter and drowned her 2-year-old son when she arrived at the Festus Police Department at about 10:30 a.m. She seemed disheveled and had wet clothing on.
For our community, it’s such a tragedy, Marshak added. “Pray for the family, and I’d ask you to say a special prayer for our first responders.”
