Ryan Kelley, who is set to become the next Republican governor of Michigan, has been taken into custody.
Ryan Kelley, a candidate for governor of Michigan from the Republican party, was detained by the FBI on Thursday.
A representative for the FBI in Detroit confirmed to the media that agents executed search and arrest warrants at Kelley’s house in Allendale, which is a suburb of Grand Rapids, and detained him. She added that the warrants were related to an ongoing investigation.
She refused to divulge any information regarding Kelley’s fees at this point.
According to the spokesperson for the FBI in Detroit, Mara R. Schneider, there is currently no other information that can be provided on the allegations made against Kelley; however, additional details are anticipated shortly.
