On Thursday of this week, the Maryland law enforcement agency that is leading the investigation into Rachel Morin’s murder will hold a press conference at which they will disclose developments on the case.
According to reports from The Independent and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation into a “potential suspect” will be conducted.
The mother of five was last seen alive on August 5 at around six o’clock in the evening when she was on her way to the Ma & Pa Trail. It has been over two weeks since that sighting. Her boyfriend reported her missing when she didn’t come home that night, and the following morning he found her body in the woods behind their apartment.
Earlier in the week, the police said that they had discovered a large number of persons who could have seen Morin along the road just before her passing away. The prospective eyewitnesses were approached by the law enforcement officers. The possible eyewitnesses included anything from two men and three women and two dogs to three men and two women and two dogs.
At a press conference held the previous week, the Sheriff of Harford County, Jeffrey Gahler, made the following statement: “Together we will solve this crime and find the heinous coward who took Rachel Morin from her family and friends.”
He said that detectives were working nonstop to piece together a timeline of events and that some of the “more than 100 tips” received from the general public “have been promising.”
