Liverpool on the other hand played in a 3-3 draw thriller with Benfica in the Champions at Anfield, the draw was enough to ensure the Reds booked their place in the semi-finals of the competition.
Jurgen Klopp’s side knocked Shrewsbury Town, Cardiff City, Norwich City, and Nottingham Forest out of the tournament to reach the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time since 2014-15.
