A Galveston County deputy was hurt when he was struck by a vehicle driven while under the influence of alcohol during the annual “Go Topless Jeep Weekend” in Galveston County.
During the annual “topless” Jeep weekend in Texas, which took place earlier this year and was attended by tens of thousands of people, law enforcement officials detained more than one hundred individuals and transported others to local hospitals.
Throughout the holiday weekend, more than 80,000 Jeep enthusiasts gathered at Crystal Beach, which is located on the Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County, Texas. Crystal Beach is a well-known beach location in Texas.

According to The News God: one of his deputies, Sgt. John Hamm, arrived at the scene of a crash around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday and was struck by another automobile driven by a suspected intoxicated driver. He was reportedly transported via helicopter to the University of Texas Medical Branch.
