The owner of a car that killed a mechanic during an oil change in Michigan is being sued.

Mr. Diaz-attorney Navarro’s has stated that he plans to take his client’s case to trial at the end of this month to defend him.

A Michigan man who left his car at the dealership for an oil change and tire rotation is being sued in the wake of the death of a dealership employee.


Sergio Enrique Diaz-Navarro brought his 2019 Jeep Wrangler to a Chrysler Jeep Dodge facility on March 13, 2020, so that lubricant technician Daniel Thompson could work on it. Attempting to drive away once the service was completed, records reveal that the vehicle “lurched forward,” slamming 42-year-old mechanic Jeffrey Hawkins against a cabinet, according to the records (see below).
