After making a mistake in Iraq and Ukraine, Bush laughed it off and joked about his age.
An embarrassing gaffe was made by former President George W. Bush on Iraq while at the same time he was condemning the invasion of Ukraine by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In a speech, Former President Bush emphasized the importance of democracy as well as the challenges that it faces not just in the United States but also internationally.
As a point of reference, he remarked, “Elections in Russia are controlled.” “Opponents of the administration are either locked up or otherwise barred from taking part in the election process in some other way. As a direct consequence of this, Russia lacks any system of checks and balances, and one man has unilaterally decided to invade Iraq for no reason at all. I am speaking specifically about the nation of Ukraine.”
