The police in Houston think that the gunman may have gotten a notice to leave at some point in the recent past.
Authorities in Houston, Texas, said that early on Sunday morning, a suspect set fire to several homes and then shot at people who were running away from the fire. Three people died before police shot and killed the suspect.

Just after 1 a.m., Houston Police Chief Troy Finner called the 8020 Dunlap Street location a “multi-room rental residence” and asked the local emergency services for help.
According to Finner, the suspect was a black man in his forties who was equipped with a shotgun. He allegedly set fire to the houses and then waited for the residents to rush outside before opening fire on them.
Finner asserted, “Time and time again, I’ve seen things that I haven’t seen in 32 years,” referring to his own experiences. The only thing we ask is that everyone in the community works together.
