In the age of innovation and modern technology, the problem of environmental pollution is becoming more serious and threatening. By environmental pollution we mean the total content of physical, chemical and biological substances and reagents in the biosphere. Such contents are not typical for the natural sphere, as they are brought from the outside and their presence leads to negative and destructive consequences.
So, environmental pollution can be different. However, all these types of pollution are produced by us humans. For example, the world-famous video hosting is also capable of producing greenhouse gases. YouTube has become an integral part of many people’s lives, and the YouTube logo is familiar to almost everyone in the modern and developed world. This resource is used not only for watching videos, but also for listening to music. Scientists have noticed most often what we watch or listen to is reproduced by us in the background. In other words, many people do not look at the video or image directly sitting in front of the screens, but turn on and listen while doing other things on the computer or doing household chores.
With such use of video hosting or similar sites, “digital garbage” is formed, since the server spends energy to send you data from the video, which is still not viewed.
At the same time, researchers and scientists note the responsibility for air pollution in this situation should be assumed by the owner of the service, not its users.
Nevertheless, for several decades in a row, scientists in this field have been sounding the alarm about an imminent environmental catastrophe. This involves not only Internet platforms, but also various other factors. We are already facing global climate and environmental changes under the influence of human activity. Thus, pollution of the oceans due to leaks of oil and petroleum products, as well as garbage has reached a huge scale, which affects the reduction of populations of many animal species and the ecosystem as a whole.
Every year, the number of cars in the world increases dramatically. This leads to a large release of carbon dioxide, which in turn causes the drying of the earth and a decrease in the amount of oxygen in the air. Many people have already realized the danger and are very sensitive to negative changes in nature and major environmental problems. Some people do not realize the threatening environmental problems and perceive the approaching disasters as something unrealistic.
In fact, we have numerous sources and types of environmental pollution. The basic classification implies biological, chemical, physical and mechanical pollution of the environment.
In the case of biological sources of pollution, it is possible to designate the activity of living organisms. This can also include anthropogenic factors, such as road construction or deforestation. The chemical sources are changes in the natural chemical composition by the use of additional and other chemicals. Physical pollution implies a change in the physical characteristics of the environment. In this case, thermal, noise and radiation types of radiation should be mentioned. Direct human activity and waste emissions into the biosphere are mechanical pollution.
All the listed species can exist not only separately from each other. They can flow and coexist, aggravating the ecological situation in the world.
How can we save the ecology and our planet as a whole? In fact, each of us is able to change the current situation at least a little. Even small changes can collectively play a significant role in supporting the environment. For example, the need to use natural resources wisely is now more acute than ever. Small changes in the routine of each person will bring a lot of useful things to the ecology. Taking care of the environment is not as difficult as it seems.
