Chelsea Football Club has confirmed their first signing under new owner Todd Boehly. Earlier on Wednesday, Chelsea announced on their official website the signing of Ève Perisset from Bordeaux.
Ève Perisset started his career at the age of 18 years at Lyon. at Lyon Perisset won four French Division One titles and also won four the Coupe de France Feminine. in 2016, She won the UEFA Champions League with Lyon.
Perisset joined Paris Saint Germain in 2016. the 27 years old won another Coupe de France Feminine with Paris Saint Germain before joining Bordeaux in 2020.
The 27 years old French right-back made 45 appearances for Bordeaux in all competitions scoring three goals.
Ève Perisset becomes the first signing under new owner Todd Boehly since he was officially announced as Chelsea‘s new owner after taking over from Roman Abramovich.
The Chelsea women’s team has won the FA Women Super League three consecutive times and has also won the FA Women Cup twice in a row.

What did Ève Perisset say after signing for Chelsea?
He told the Club’s official website, saying: “It’s a fantastic honor to join Chelsea and to be the first French female player to become a Blue! I am very thankful for the opportunity that has been given to me.
“The time was right for me to make this big move to London and join the English Super League and I cannot wait to meet the team and the fans later this summer at Kingsmeadow and the famous Stamford Bridge!”
The Chelsea Women head coach Emma Hayes also commented on Perisset’s signing saying: “Eve brings a wealth of experience and is a versatile player who can play in both full-back positions and midfield.
“A tenacious defender, with her mentality and professionalism we have no doubt she will complement the group well.
“We look forward to welcoming Eve to the team later this summer as we head into the new season.”
Chelsea fans will hope Todd Boehly’s first signing will open the door for players to come to Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Saul Niguez has confirmed his departure from Chelsea on Social Media.
Confirming his departure from social media, Saul said: “Hello Blues, I’m writing to take my leave of you. I would like to tell you how I felt during this adventure. Things didn’t start well at all. After a long time at home, changing everything wasn’t easy.
“Thanks to all the fans for supporting me through thick and thin. I will be forever grateful. Thanks to all the staff for making it possible for me to win titles with the blue shirt. But above all, I wanted to thank my teammates. They have been fundamental so that I wouldn’t fall apart. They helped me to continue supporting the team and live a calm and positive day to day. Thank you!”
Saul Niguez made 26 appearances for Chelsea last season winning the FIFA Club World Cup and The UEFA Super Cup.
