1. Cancer

There are two reasons to use cannabis if you have cancer.

First, it can help with the symptoms of most cancer treatments. Many people complain of nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy. Cannabis is effective for reducing these symptoms.

The second reason to use cannabis for cancer is that there is evolving research indicating that it may stop the progression of the disease. Cannabinoids can slow the growth of tumors and cause the death of cancer cells.

However, more research is needed in this area, and you should always consult your managing healthcare provider before starting cannabis.

2. Eating Disorders

Where ‘the munchies’ was always a dirty word before, now they have a medical use. People in recovery from eating disorders often use cannabis to help trigger their hunger hormones and reduce anxiety around mealtimes.

After prolonged periods of disordered eating, many people experience gastrointestinal pain and discomfort when eating large meals – cannabis is an excellent cure for this ailment.

3. Seizures

In 2018, the US FDA approved EPIDIOLEX (a cannabis-based medication) for use in epileptic patients.

Following hundreds of anecdotal stories of people having a significant reduction in seizures when using cannabis, studies investigated its uses.

Early evidence shows that cannabis can help control and reduce seizures, but more research is needed. Prescriptions can be hard to obtain, but many people choose to purchase cannabis privately to help control their symptoms.

4. Pain Conditions

Perhaps the most common cannabis oil medical use is for pain conditions. Many citizens now grow their own supply and process it into oil for use on aching muscles or bones.

Cannabinoids act on pain receptors and help to reduce symptoms. In some instances, it can help treat the pain at the source, but at a minimum, it’ll help with your symptoms.

If you don’t have a prescription, you can get some basic cannabis growing tips here.
