According to President Joe Biden, the fact that there were 33 baby formula bottles in excess suggests that a total of 127 infant formula bottles are currently being shipped to the United States.
On Friday, President Biden announced that his department had made a purchase from Nestlé consisting of 33 million bottles of infant formula that was considered to be safe. The formula was provided by Nestlé, who was also the supplier. The President of the United States stated in a tweet that 127 million bottles of nutritious infant formula are on their way to retailers all around the country as soon as it is possible.
There is currently a shortage of infant formula as a direct consequence of the closure of a plant in Michigan that was forced to close due to health and safety concerns surrounding contamination.
In addition, the government of President Biden made use of the Defense Production Act to get Abbott Nutrition back up and running, and it gave the Food and Drug Administration guidelines for how to import infant formula that is not produced in the United States. Both of these accomplishments were made possible by the administration of President Biden.
