Off the coast of Mexico, Central America, and South America, eight different suspected drug-smuggling vessels were found to be carrying cocaine.
The U.S. Coast Guard declared that it had unloaded a significant amount of cocaine that had been seized and valued at an estimated $468 million at San Diego, California.
The Coast Guard Cutter Munro encountered eight distinct suspected drug-smuggling vessels off the coasts of Mexico, Central America, and South America in February and March, when it collected roughly 34,000 pounds of illicit substances.
The discovery of the cocaine, according to Coast Guard Cutter Monro Captain Rula Deisher, is evidence of his crew’s “dedication and grit.”
In a press statement, Deishe stated, “The crew put in an incredible amount of work over very long hours, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.” “Their dedication and grit goes to show that Munro is one of the best national security cutters in the fleet, and we are committed to keeping the country safe by stopping illegal drugs before they hit the street.”
