Reedus pleaded guilty to disorderly behavior on March 16, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office (as reported by People). A conditional discharge was granted to him, along with a five-session treatment plan.
In New York City on September 24, 2021, Reedus was arrested and charged with assaulting a lady. Isabelle Kirshner, his lawyer, argued that “he was the victim in the encounter” and that the charges were “baseless.” However, she and the District Attorney worked out a bargain in which the charges against her were downgraded to disorderly conduct.
Why was Mingus Reedus arrested?
On September 24, 2021, Reedus was arrested in connection with the attack of a 24-year-old female. In Manhattan, along Mulberry and Baxter streets, the San Gennaro festival is where the reported incident occurred. Following a fight, the complainant told police that Reddus hit her, according to NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Public Information (DCPI). An injury to the woman’s left eye was treated at the Downtown Hospital in New York City.

When asked by the New York Daily News about his arrest, Reedus expressed his thoughts. They treated him unfairly in his opinion. Defending himself, he “pushed” his arm out in response to the claimant and her companions bullying him. During the San Gennaro festival, Reedus and his partner and a few pals ran into the claimant and her company. According to him, the claimant looked to be intoxicated at the time of the incident.
To the woman and her gang, he confesses to having flung an arm, saying:
It was instinct. I was reacting to them swarming me and was afraid for the safety of my group. We didn’t think anything of it, but these five girls followed us for two blocks, throwing food at us and yelling. We told them to leave us alone, but they kept following, threatening to hurt my girlfriend and her friend. It was very apparent that these girls were under the influence and looking for a fight.
At the intersection of Mulberry and Baxter streets, Reedus says a group of women swarmed around his group and began hurling water at him while yanking his hair out of his face. According to him, he struck out at them in order to establish some distance between them so that he could better defend himself. According to him, the woman’s face was accidentally knocked off during the melée, which is why the police were called.

Police arrived and Reedus claims they refused to listen to “the context” of the incident when the woman’s face was wounded. Reedus was detained on the scene.
