There were no tornado warnings issued for the Philadelphia area.
Tornadoes swept through Gloucester Township in southern New Jersey early on Thursday morning, causing damage to vehicles and uprooting trees.
The National Weather Service (NWS) office in Mount Holly, New Jersey, reported that the tornado made landfall at approximately 5:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET), with maximum speeds of up to 90 miles per hour (mph).
The path left behind by the twister was sixty yards wide and twenty-six hundred feet long at its maximum width.
At least three trees were uprooted as a result of the tornado’s impact at Erial Road and its subsequent path northeast into the Deer Park area. The path of the tornado was northeasterly.
