Tips To Creating Real Estate Infographics That Work

Infographics and real estate go together like peas and carrots. These colorfully illustrated data visualizations can help buyers choose a home, refinance their mortgage or find information about neighborhoods. However, that can only happen if the infographics are designed correctly.

To make sure that you’re able to create infographics that are truly effective, read on!

Embed your infographic on your home page.

If you want people to actually look at your infographic, then they have to see it in the first place. That’s why an infographic has to be prominently displayed either on your homepage or blog. Of course, you could just link out to a static page with infographics, but that doesn’t entice anyone who lands on your site to stay and explore. By embedding an infographic within your site, you can help guide them to the information they seek.

Include a map of the area.

As a real estate professional, you likely know more about neighborhoods than anyone else on the planet. Why not show those insights by including a map of the area? Not only does this give potential buyers an idea of what’s nearby and where transportation options are located, but it also entices viewers to learn more about what each neighborhood has to offer. And that could lead to new leads!

Mention Zillow ratings in your infographic.

Although we don’t necessarily recommend using Zillow numbers (or any other third-party source for that matter), some people like to see the ratings. If you use them, include direct links to Zillow so people can find out more information about specific properties or neighborhoods.

Include a Call-to-Action.

Not every potential buyer will have access to a laptop or computer at the time they look for a home, so be sure to include QR codes in your infographic. You can put them on your site or distribute them to real estate agents.

Infographics are a good way to get your name and brand in front of people, but if you want them to do something after seeing it, then it needs a call to action.

Do you want viewers to visit your site or sign up for a newsletter? Will that help you achieve your real estate goals? If not, what will?

Make sure the infographic has a clear goal so what you’re promoting is also optimized. But whatever path they choose, always give visitors an easy choice: “Click here” or something should be added next to each link in your infographic.

Make your infographic shareable.

If you want people to share your infographic, then it has to be sharable. That means adding social sharing buttons for Facebook, Google+, Pinterest and Twitter.

Show viewers how they can help spread the word on important real estate information!

These types of calls-to-action will make infographics effective not only as marketing tools  but also as informative resources for buyers everywhere. Just don’t forget to turn on the social sharing buttons when you post a link to your infographic online and make sure your embedding code is added correctly.

Create an infographic that helps sell itself.

Infographics are most effective when they help the person create a better understanding of the property, neighborhood or other real estate topics. By keeping that in mind and designing accordingly, you can create an infographic that helps sell itself.

Why? Because it’s something people want to share with others and that means more potential buyers for you and your clients.

Be creative.

Infographics don’t have to be boring pie charts and bar graphs; they can also feature a visual layout of information that helps convey the same message.

For example, instead of just listing how many homes are listed in a certain price range, show actual houses with their photos and prices for context. Just keep in mind that, depending on the size of the infographic, you may need to include more information. Don’t make it so complicated that it turns viewers off, but give them a reason to stay and explore.

If you are clueless about designing or unsure how to create infographics, there’s an infographic maker you can turn to. Venngage is free and user-friendly.

Include QR codes.

Include a Call-to-Action.

Not every potential buyer will have access to a laptop or computer at the time they look for a home, so be sure to include QR codes in your infographic. You can put them on your site or distribute them to real estate agents.

They’re great because viewers can use their smartphone cameras to scan the QR codes and immediately access your site or mobile app. Getting the viewer to take action is what it’s all about, so be sure they can do it any way possible!

Mention other real estate information.

In addition to the infographic, use an About Page or a blog post to discuss what’s going on in the real estate industry or your local market. This is great for SEO purposes Plus, it provides an opportunity for viewers to find out more information about the topic. This is especially useful if your infographic centers on current market data or something new that’s sweeping through the real estate industry.

When your infographic is created for the right reasons, it’s even more likely to become a viral sensation – and that means more business.
