Darwin Nunez was the man of the night as Liverpool defeated Napoli 2-0. The Liverpool record summer signing scored and assisted for Liverpool against Napoli after coming on as a substitute in the 73rd minute.
The 23-year-old has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 15 appearances for Liverpool.
Nunez has often been criticized for wasting clearing chances and his performance for Liverpool.
However, Thierry Henry believes Darwin Nunez lacks confidence at the moment and insisted that he is on the right track.
What did Thierry Henry say about Darwin Nunez?
The former French and Arsenal striker said on CBS Sports: “I think he needs confidence, and the confidence that I’m talking about is when you are at a club and feel like you’re going to play week in and week out, you’re a bit colder in front of goal.
“Because he wants to please so much and do so much and he wants to wow the Liverpool fans, sometimes he rushes it. He gets the ball and he rushes it instead of controlling it, going back on his right foot and finishing clean.
“I went through that. When you arrive as a big signing and just overdo it at times. Coming in after Sadio Mane, that’s not easy to do and you just overdo it instead of being calm, cool, and finishing.
“He’s the type of guy where when he gets one then things will come. I don’t think he’s a finisher like Robbie Fowler, not a lot of people are finishers like Robbie Fowler in all fairness, but he has goals in him.
“He’s a bit more of a handful. Sometimes he will rush a bit like Alexis Sanchez or a young Luis Suarez when you felt like things were bounding off of him and stuff like that but when you start to master what you’re good at, then you can control it better. And I think that will happen to him. I think he can do that.’

Jurgen Klopp has also hailed Darwin Nunez’s impact after coming off the bench against Napoli.
Klopp said: “Yeah, absolutely good. In these games, for us, it was obviously not a game for massive rotation or whatever because of the situation. But a little bit we had to and that’s why we didn’t start all three [strikers] because we have to see how you get through a game. And I thought Curtis [Jones] did really well in an unfamiliar position for him.
“Did really well, was involved in the game. And then when you can then bring on a fresh player with the quality of Darwin it’s very helpful, so really happy about that.”
