While searching for her grave, the police are continuing their investigation into the cold case that has been open for a long time.
On Wednesday, law enforcement officials in Connecticut dug up a body as part of an investigation into a homicide that took place in the 1970s. After doing so, the officers quickly realized that they had unearthed the wrong body and continued their investigation.
A young woman’s body, which had been wrapped in a tarp and placed in a ditch in East Haven, Connecticut, in August of 1975, was discovered outside of a department store that had since closed down. Because of this information, the East Haven Police Department decided to begin an investigation into the situation.
According to a reporter, DNA testing is now a viable method for determining the identity of the woman whose body was found in the State Street Cemetery in Hamden decades after her body was initially discovered there. This discovery came about after the body of the woman had been in the cemetery for a long time.
At this stage, the only thing that is required for them is the body.
