An official from the Department of Justice suggested that the CDC possesses the authority to bring an end to Title 42.

On Friday evening, the Department of Justice announced that it will file an appeal against the judgment of a federal judge who had blocked the Biden administration from repealing Title 42.

A judge in the Western District of Louisiana awarded a preliminary injunction on Friday, which prevents the Biden administration from carrying out its plan to end the pandemic immigration order on May 23 as a result of the preliminary injunction that was given by the judge.
