The proposal that has been proposed by Congressman Darrell Issa would increase the safeguards that are provided to the Supreme Court.
Issa, a Republican from California, is criticizing Democrats in the House for their “obstruction” of his proposed bill. Issa emphasized how important it is for his measure to be passed when it was reported that a guy who was equipped with a gun and a knife was caught near the home of Justice Brett Kavanaugh in Maryland. The man was reportedly making threats of violence against the justice.
According to Issa, conversations between Democrats and Republicans regarding the Supreme Court and the prospect of overturning Roe v. Wade were a contributing factor in the development of such threats.
Issa stated, “It’s a terrible indictment,” in response to a query regarding the reason why Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not signal support for the bill or bring it to a vote on the floor of the House of Representatives.
