On the day of Martin Luther King Jr., two people were killed, and numerous others, including a 12-year-old boy, were injured in shootings in Philadelphia.
Within a three-hour period, police were called to four different gunshots, two of which resulted in deaths.
Police discovered a 12-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the chest following a shooting that occurred around 8 o’clock in the 100 block of North 8th Street. According to the authorities, the youngster was transferred to the hospital and was given a stable health rating.
According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, the youngster was found in the family’s second-floor bedroom after they reported hearing a single gunshot from that location. The investigation into the potential of an unintentional self-inflicted gunshot is ongoing, and the weapon has not yet been found. Everyone who was inside the house was being interrogated.
